Authors: Jan Kohlmeyer;

A revision of Halosphaeriaceae

Abstract

Halosphaeriaceae Müller et v. Arx fam. nov. ex Kohlmeyer, a family of Sphaeriales, is validated and amended. A key leads to the 13 accepted genera. Genera and species are compiled with synonyms. Genera with exclusively marine representatives not included in Halosphaeriaceae are briefly discussed. The following new combinations are proposed: Ceriosporopsis circumvestita (Kohlm.) Kohlm., comb. nov.; C. tubulifera (Kohlm.) Kirk, comb, nov.; Halosphaeria cucullata (Kohlm.) Kohlm., comb, nov.; H. hamata (Höhnk) Kohlm., comb. nov.; H. maritima (Linder) Kohlm., comb. nov.; H. pilleata (Kohlm.) Kohlm., comb, nov.; H. quadriremis (Höhnk) Kohlm., comb, nov.; H. salina (Meyers) Kohlm., comb. nov.; H. stellata (Kohlm.) Kohlm., comb, nov.; and H. truttifera (Kohlm.) Kohlm., comb. nov. Samarosporella pelagica Linder is a nomen rejiciendum.
