Failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis is a systems level analysis to quantify the robustness of product design for an intended application. Intrinsic Safety is a Hazardous Locations protection method based on the limitation of energy and power within an electrical device such that no spark or thermal ignition can occur. Currently, reliability analysis of intrinsically safe devices is limited to the de-rating of specific protective components. The application of FMECA methods to intrinsically safe product development can promote robust, economical product design.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
