TEACHERS' CONCERNS ABOUT NUTRITION EDUCATION Teachers are concerned about the numbers of pupils who are not receiving any formal teaching about nutrition and healthy eating after the third year. In effect, those children who do not have the experience of learning about food and nutrition in lessons are left to learn for themselves. They have to gauge for themselves the bias in advertising, they have to develop alone the skills of safe food handling, as well as maintaining a healthy diet for themselves as they grow and develop.
