Abstract

Only 3 years ago a European Community study, when discussing microcomputers, stated “. the major restriction on the use of microcomputers will be the access to aplication programs for building “. That report also states that to permit the effectiveness of microcomputers, a “major technical breakthrough” is required. This paper, based on activities, demonstrates that the micro is evolving into a relevant aid to the design engineer. A general engineering system has been implemented on a micro to substantiate this growing realization.
