An incandescent rolling mill, designed to operate with roll temperatures exceeding 1200°F is described. Modifications in design and construction materials are suggested that could result in the use of this rolling mill at even higher temperatures and in industrial applications. Such applications as rolling thin strip and sheet, metal powders, and Ausformed steel strip and sheet, as well as the roll bonding of materials are discussed.
