Coastal landforms in the Montalbona Ionico, Southern Italy are mapped by the study of aerial photographs and limited field check. The analysis of a denuded sequence of uplifted marine terraces brought to light the shoreline development in the region during the Quaternary period. The disposition of the ancient shorelines in the present day landscape indicates tectonicity followed by eustasy as their origin. An attempt is made to correlate the marine terraces with the known Quaternary ages.
