Abstract

From the evidence at hand it seems to be a practical procedure to use non-legumes as green manures for potatoes. Non-egumes can be grown on soils at a pH of 5.5 or lower more successfully than legumes. A rotation can be arranged which, according to our present knowledge will escape danger of wire worms and grubs.
