In the generalN×N case, it is explicitly shown that solvable nonlinear evolution equations (NLEE) can be equivalently obtained from a deformation generated by a gauge transformation of a spectral equation or from the consistency condition for two spectral equations. The gauge transformation of the spectral equation associated with the NLEE is used to derive the general Backlund transformation (BT) for this NLEE. Both thex-derivative part and thet-derivative part of the BT are obtained.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 27 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
