The complete description (ie Master Directory) of SUMER observations will be available using the relational database management system ORACLE, giving the opportunity to make complicated queries and cross references. Data will be stored using FITS format. At least the last 28 days of observation will be on-line while older data will be stored on off-line supports (such as CD-ROMs), accessible only on request. We present here an overview of the SUMER science database.
