The unsteady flow near an infinite flat plate, which is oscillating harmonically in its own plane, is studied in the presence of a magnetic field subjected to suction or injection. The magnetic field is perpendicular to the plate and the flow of viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid is regarded as being initially at rest. Exact solutions for velocity and skin-friction are obtained for the magnetic field fixed to the fluid or to the plate.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 8 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
