
During the development of computing and information processing over the last twenty years, the number of functions offered to the user has exponentially increased. This increase has resulted in two main problems: one at the physical level, the other at the cognitive level. The physical problem is related to the space occupied by menus on the screen surface. The space available is limited in so far as the size of the screen is limited.
