Principles of the energy estimation of farming systems have been systematized in the work. Advisability of the energy estimation of soil fertility is shown by the findings. It is confirmed that all the farming system components have to be optimized in order to achieve high energetic efficiency of farming systems. It has to be done in consideration of the optimization of soil characteristics, processes and conditions, applying the principles of adaptive-landscape farming systems, allowing for the flow of materials, energy and information in agrolandscapes.
