The results of long-term studies on the yielding capacity of grain crops grown on different agroecological groups of lands in natural agricultural districts (NAD) of the Orenburg region are submitted. The problem of interaction of climatic factors and the NAD soil fertility, as well as their influence on productivity has been considered. The results of correlation analysis of the influence of precipitation (monthly) on grain crop yields are presented. It is proposed to strengthen the intensification of cereal production, taking into account the agro-ecological assessment of lands and differentiated selection of crops. It is recommended to plan the land use and agricultural production as well as the structure of sown areas in accordance with the agro-ecological lands assessment.
