Abstract

Let k be a totally real algebraic number field of degree n with ring of integers o. By studying certain invariants rm of the isolated singularities of the usual compact ification X(k) of the quotient ℍn / ℚ Sl (2,0) we construct some example of totally real cubic number fields k such that the field of meromorphic functions of X(k) is not rational.
