Translations of Tagore songs by MK Binodini Devi, Maibam Haricharan, RK Surendrajit, and Ayekpam Shyamsundar Singh, performed by Roop Raag. Binodini translated 28 of these songs written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore from the original Bangla. The singers are Khun Joykumar, Birkumar, Swamikumar, Usharani, Nandeswari, Praneswari, and Pushparani, The arrangement of Tagore's original compositions is by Roop Raag, the arts group of which MK Binodini Devi was a founding member and a past President. The group, gathered in her home and their modern theater, dance, and music brought about a culture renaissance in the early 1960s that was the nucleus of a Manipuri modernism. Its artists went on to establish radio and film in Manipur.
