Abstract

The paper, based on an analysis of different sources, reveals one of the most interesting pages in the history of archaeological research in the Nizhnegorsky district. The historiography of archaeological research of Nogaychinsky mount and its findings starts more than 40 years ago with publication of first reports. However, in spite of comprehensive monographs on the issue the answer to the question on Nogaychinsky grave and identification of the buried women is yet to be found.
