Abstract: Many people still do not care about the waste they produce. Garbage is the cause of current environmental problems. In the City of Bandar Lampung, at this time, waste is a problem that cannot be handled properly. The waste bank should be able to reduce waste and also educate the public regarding waste management and segregation and the waste bank also aims to empower the community's economy to improve the economy and people's income through a waste management system. The purpose of this study was to find out the role of the waste bank in waste management and community economic empowerment, and what difficulties were encountered in the process of waste management and community economic empowerment in Bandar Lampung City. This research was conducted at the emak.id waste bank. The type of research used is field research with qualitative methods, where in this study the author will describe the implementation of economic empowerment in the management and segregation of waste carried out by the emak.id waste bank based on an Islamic economic perspective. Based on the research results, it is known that it has a positive impact on the community's economic empowerment process as evidenced by the fulfillment of 3 community empowerment indicators that lead to community welfare, namely first, meeting economic needs, education, health. Second, increasing people's income, and third, participation in development. As well as reviewed based on an Islamic economic perspective, the form of economic empowerment carried out by the emak.id waste bank has fulfilled the principles of Islamic economics, namely the principles of monotheism and brotherhood, the principles of work and productivity, the principles of justice ( al-adl ), and helping each other.
