World: Mediterranean Sea (Della Valle 1893; Koukouras 2010), South Africa (Griffiths 1974), Bay of Biscay, France (Bachelet et al. 2003), Gulf of Mexico (Felder & Camp 2009), North Atlantic Ocean (Borges et al. 2010), India (Rabindranath 1975). India: South India Ecoregion: Tamil Nadu (Nayar 1966 as Amphilochus neapolitanus Della Valle, 1893). Remarks: Report from India requires confirmation. Genus: Amphilochus Spence Bate, 1862
