We investigate practical strategies for migration from C-band to C+L-band/multi-fiber solutions in MAN networks from a Telco operator’s perspective through a MAN-customized algorithm supporting multi-homing based on link-and-node-disjoint-path routing. We show k=3 shortest paths minimizes the need for new fibers.
