Abstract

El estudio de las mallas curriculares es hoy una necesidad para lograr la formación que demanda el mercado laboral. De ahí la importancia de esta investigación que tuvo como objetivo el diseño curricular de la carrera Licenciatura en Turismo de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Para sustentar teóricamente este estudio se utilizaron métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, y la técnica de la encuesta para realizar el estudio de demanda. Además, se calculó el coeficiente de Kendall para conocer la concordancia de los expertos con respecto a la validez y pertinencia de la propuesta. La concepción teórica y metodológica del currículo diseñado integra fundamentos epistemológicos, filosóficos, pedagógicos, sicológicos, sociológicos y didácticos. Su carácter innovador permitirá formar un profesional competente, de perfil amplio, capaz de dar respuesta a las exigencias del turismo en el siglo XXI y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible 2030. - The study of the curricular meshes is today a necessity to achieve the training demanded by the labor market. Hence the importance of this research that had as its objective the curricular design of the Bachelor of Tourism career at the Technical University of Manabí. To theoretically support this study quantitative and qualitative methods were used , and the survey technique were used to carry out the demand study. In addition, the Kendall coefficient was calculated to know the agreement of the experts with respect to the validity and relevance of the proposal. The theoretical and methodological conception of the designed curriculum integrates epistemological, philosophical, pedagogical, psychological, sociological and didactic foundations. Its innovative character will allow training a competent professional, with a broad profile, capable of responding to the demands of tourism in the 21st century and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
