The article examines the theoretical foundations of an integratively differentiated system of literacy teaching and their provisions, the psychophysiological properties of reading and writing as types of speech activity, as well as an integrated-differentiated lesson of a modular type is considered as an occupation during which both the synthesis of knowledge of closely related subjects is carried out, resulting in a new quality, and differentiation of this knowledge, which is due to the specifics of synthesized items.
