EpiCUM un progetto per la fruizione online del corpus digitale in EpiDoc delle epigrafi del Castello Ursino

Abstract

Comunicazione al convegno internazionale "Voci di pietra": pluralismo culturale e integrazione nella Sicilia antica e tardoantica, svoltosi presso il Coro di Notte dell'Ex Monastero dei Benedettini, Sede Dipartimento di Scienze Umanistiche - Università di Catania, nei giorni 16 e 17 marzo 2017 (http://epicum.istc.cnr.it/convegno-voci-di-pietra/). La relazione pone in evidenza le potenzialità dell'epigrafia digitale e, nello specifico, mira alla diffusione dei primi risultati del progetto EpiCUM. EpiCUM - Epigraphs of Castello Ursino Museum (http://epicum.istc.cnr.it/) si è posto l'obiettivo di rendere fruibile il corpus epigrafico del Museo Civico Castello Ursino di Catania in modi diversi; a esempio attraverso e un portale web e una mostra, "Voci di Pietra". Il progetto ha coinvolto diversi collaboratori (CNR, Museo, Scuola, Università) in numerose attività di valorizzazione del materiale epigrafico.
