This guidebook aims to give an overview of the challenges associated with making qualitative data reusable as well as providing guidance on how reusability can be improved and addressed at all stages of the research data life cycle. The guide includes a decision tree (also published separately and available at doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7777549) that researchers and data stewards can use to evaluate the options for making qualitative data reusable that are most suited for their projects. The guide was created in the beginning of 2023 as part of the CaRe & DaRe project, funded by the NWO Open Science fund under file number 203.001.153 and led by prof. dr. ir. J. J. Berends (VU). The second version is updated in layout from the first version.
