This study examines the readjustment challenges and remigration intentions of Uzbek returnees from South Korea. Based on Kim's Re-Acculturation theory, the purpose is to understand the psychological and sociocultural processes involved in their readjustment. A mixed methods approach combining qualitative interviews and quantitative analysis of key factors influencing readjustment and remigration intentions was used. Results show that factors such as cultural differences, economic disparities, language barriers, and limited employment opportunities significantly influence the readjustment experience and contribute to remigration intentions. Based on the findings, it is suggested that targeted support programs addressing language skills, job training, and psychosocial support be developed to facilitate successful readjustment. These findings contribute to the understanding of return migration dynamics and inform policymakers and organizations on the interventions needed to improve the readjustment process of Uzbek returnees.
