As micro-ondas e a velocidade da luz

Abstract

Resumo: Apresentamos neste trabalho as etapas de execução de uma atividade prática para comprovar a velocidade da luz empregando um forno de micro-ondas. Adaptamos o experimento do roteiro proposto por Stauffer em 1997 na revista The Physics Teacher. Concluímos que a atividade possibilita estimar a velocidade da luz com um erro inferior a 0,3% e contempla o que propõe a Base Nacional Comum Curricular para o ensino de Ciências da Natureza e suas Tecnologias. Palavras-chave: ondulatória; teoria da relatividade; ensino de física. Abstract: We present in this work the steps of performing a practical activity to prove the speed of light using a microwave oven. We adapted the experiment from the script proposed by Stauffer in 1997 in The Physics Teacher magazine. We conclude that the activity makes it possible to estimate the speed of light with an error of less than 0.3% and contemplates what the National Common Curricular Base proposes for the teaching of Natural Sciences and its Technologies.
