This article aims to provide transcription, editing and commentary of the pastoral visit in 1791 to the convent of Augustinian Recollect Gijon, while is an excellent snapshot of the state of the community in the late eighteenth century, allowing knowledge the state of the community and the choice of Prioress and other charges which it counted. On the other hand, provides information on the historical reality of this Asturian female Augustinian center, which has few studies and research to provide an overview of its evolution and its historical reality a little better.
