Well made courses complement the learning programme and enhance face to face teaching. This requires organisation, collaboration and application, rather than conspicuous design. Google and Wikipedia show how content and meaning is more important than design. The best design is invisible. If anything, design reveals and supports the structure of learning. For RCA, it is all about the process and the work, not the studio space! However, good course design will guide any student to their resources and allow them to get on with their studies and succeed.
