As a result of the investigations carried out in Bozqır plateau of Azerbaijan it was established that, from collected bryophytes Barbula unguiculata, Bryum argentum, Bryum capillare, Ceratodon purpureus, Homalothecium lutescens, Hypnum cupressiforme, Polytrichum juniperinum, Porella platyphylla, Weissia controversa species had medicinal importance. Out of these species 1 family, 1 genus, 1 species were found to belong to liverworts and 6 families, 7 generas, 8 species belong to mosses. Among the medicinal species of bryophytes families of Bryaceae (2 species) and Pottiaceae (2 species) are dominated. The remaining 5 families (Porellaceae, Brachytheaeceae, Ditrichaceae, Hypnaceae, Polytrichaceae) are represented by one species.
