Abstract

These are the learning materials of a workshop held within the "Corso di Digital Humanities per i Dottorandi della Scuola di Scienze Umanistiche 2022-23", a series of workshops and lectures for PhD students organized by the DISH Center (Digital Scholarship in the Humanities) at the University of Turin, Italy. I am uploading are a zip archive including a folder which constitutes a website. Please unzip the archive and open index.html to see the website homepage. As of June 2023, the website is available and functioning in http://www.paolomonella.it/torino2023/

Course attendants will learn how to enrich their scholarly digital edition in the direction of the "distributed edition" with two advanced features: (1) linking to the source document images through IIIF; (2) linking concepts and named entities (including places and persons) to LOD entities They will explore strategies to visualize these features in EVT (Edition Visualization Software).
