In March 2023, KU Leuven Libraries, the Faculty of Arts, and the Humanities and Social Sciences Group joined forces to organize the first edition of the BiblioTech hackathon. The hackathon was a ten-day event focused on applying Digital Humanities tools and methods to the library’s digitized collections. During BiblioTech, teams of researchers, students, and university staff took on the challenge of applying DH tools to the datasets in creative ways in order to showcase the library’s collections and to open up new potential avenues of research.
