This review article examines the development and implementation issues of distance learning in medical education systems from 2014 to 2023. The main research and examples were taken from Russian and foreign sources, as well as from authors specializing in this topic. The article discusses the opportunities and limitations of distance learning, effectiveness and safety in clinical disciplines. The conclusion presents the results and findings based on the analysis of available data.
