Lectotype (designated by Raven 1962a):—“Himalaya bor. occid.”, unplaced locality in northwest Himalaya, 1800–2400 m, 1847–1848, Thomson s.n. (K). Distribution: —U Ganga & Indus, C Nepal, U Yarlung Zangbo, M Yarlung Zangbo, Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra, S Hengduan. Note: —Endemic in the Pan-Himalaya region.
