Archaeological Explorations in Charkhi-Dadri-2 Block, District Bhiwani, Haryana

Abstract

This paper is a preliminary report of village-to-village survey of Charkhi-Dadri Block-2 of Bhiwani district, Haryana. During August-September 2011 a total of 59 sites were documented. This venture aims to understand relationship between the Ganeshwar-Jodhapura culture and Harappan Civilization, besides the expansion of Harappan civilization in South-western fringe of the Ghaggar plains and to give general information about the archaeological sites in the region. The result of this survey will address a number of problems such of size of the settlements, geo-coordinates etc.
