The present essay, Maria Aragão and the Military Dictatorship in Maranhão: silencing, trajectory of the activist from the perspective of comic, books makes a dialogue between the content gaps concerning the silenced stories, but specifically about the writing of history and the production of comic books, based on the trajectory of the activist Maria Aragão. The essay aims to discuss the possibility of the comic: Civil-Military Dictatorship: Maria Aragão and her struggle in comics, as didactic material in history classes. The work is the result of qualitative, field research, interviews, questionnaire and bibliographic survey carried out at the Maria Aragão Teaching Center, a school located in São Luis-MA. After the elaboration of the work it was possible to understand the importance of the insertion of the comic book about Maria Aragão in the teaching of history, in view of the absence of the history of Maranhão in school books.
