Abstract

Genus Ptecticus Loew undetermined species Distribution. Not determined. Galápagos: Baltra, Santa Cruz. Material examined. Galápagos: Santa Cruz: Bellavista, 2.iv. 2016, 400 m, A. Carrión (1 ♁, CNC). Remarks. A recently introduced species, first discovered at the Baltra airport. It has more recently been collected in the highlands of Santa Cruz. Many species of Ptecticus breed in decaying vegetation. This is species is possibly P. nigrifrons Enderlein.
