The style of technique used in a learning context is essential for effective learning. Nowadays, due to technological advancements and easy access to learning resources worldwide, learners mostly prefer to learn independently. This trend has led to more practical and effective self-education, which is especially relevant in modern times. The goal of this paper is to examine the different dimensions of self-studying and explore how it can support the modern needs of students while considering its pros, especially in higher education. Furthermore, the paper provides some suggestions on how to facilitate the process of self-study in learning. The article describes students’ self-study an indispensable part of tertiary education. Methods of organization, tips and strategies of students’ self-study is described , different useful resources are mentioned as a tool for organization of students’ self-study, who study in the field of information technology.
