Deliverable D2.3 delivers innovations of station keeping systems from component to system level. First, reduction of ultimate loads and maximum tensions is investigated through performance assessment of new elastic mooring and damper solutions. Second, combinations of mooring types, materials and anchors are considered in order to reduce the total amount of material and overall footprint. Third, reduction of mooring line fatigue loads in operational conditions is investigated through wind turbine controller tuning. Finally, conventional mooring materials are used for the purpose of analyzing the impact of shared anchors and shared mooring lines on ultimate loads and potential resonance effects.
