Lam. = Sect. Lophobrychis Hand.-Mazz. subsect. Occidentales Širj., SpisyPrˇ´ýr. Fak. Masarykovy Univ. 56:34. 1925. Type:—(designated by Amirahmadi et al. 2016): O. caput-galli (L.) Lam. Description: Perennial or rarely annual herbs, wing often shorter than calyx to as long as it, standard as long as a keel to slightly longer or shorter than it, the basic chromosome number x= 7, distributed in Central Asia to Europe with a south extension into N and NE Africa.
