TYPE SPECIES. — Crimisus patruus Bolívar, 1887, designated by Kirby (1910). COMPOSITION AND DISTRIBUTION. — 12 species of which 11 inhabit South America. Only C. costaricensis Günther, 1939 is known to occur in Central America. A potentially new undescribed species has been observed.
