Assara albicostalis Walker, 1863a: 80 Type locality: Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak = Hyphantidium subterebrellum Snellen, 1880a: 250 Type locality: Celebes [Sulawesi, Indonesia] = Euzophera niveicostella Hampson, 1896b: 74 Type locality: Ceylon [Sri Lanka] Distribution. Indian records: Manipur (Ragonot & Hampson 1901), Kerala (Mathew et al. 2005), Thar Desert (Chandra et al. 2021). Global records: Indonesia, Celebes (Snellen 1880a), Ceylon (Hampson 1896b), Vietnam (Tonkin) (de Joannis 1930), Iraq (Amsel 1955), Hawaii (Munroe 1989), Indo-Australian. In SE Asia from Burma, Thailand, W. Malaysia, Sarawak, Philippines (Robinson et al. 1994), New Caledonia (Mille 2011), Borneo (Sutton et al. 2015).
