Razvoj institucijskog izdavaštva u otvorenom pristupu: projekt DIAMAS

Abstract

Znanstveno izdavaštvo u otvorenom pristupu izuzetno je raznoliko, uključuje niz dionika i organizirano je prema različitim modelima. Segment kojem dosad nije posvećena dovoljna pozornost je izdavačka aktivnost samih znanstvenih ustanova, iako je upravo institucijsko izdavaštvo ono koje u značajnoj mjeri (p)održava društvenu, jezičnu, kulturnu i epistemološku raznolikost u europskom istraživačkom prostoru. Značajan udio institucijskog izdavaštva djeluje po tzv. dijamantnom modelu otvorenog pristupa (besplatan za autore i čitatelje, dok se financijski oslanja na različite oblike potpora). U svojim izdavačkim aktivnostima mnoge znanstvene ustanove nailaze na višestruke prepreke, vezane uz potrebne vještine, organizaciju, vidljivost i održivost, koje bi se mogle ukloniti boljom suradnjom i povezanošću. Upravo je u tome cilj projekta DIAMAS: povezivanje dionika, poticanje suradnje, unaprjeđivanje izdavačkih i uredničkih praksi te podizanje kvalitete i vidljivosti otvorenih institucijskih izdanja. U tijeku je opsežno istraživanje postojećih nakladničkih aktivnosti europskih ustanova, kao i postojećih preporuka, smjernica i standarda kvalitete u izdavaštvu. Na temelju rezultata definirat će se novi europski standard kvalitete za institucijsko izdavaštvo u otvorenom pristupu. Potom će uslijediti niz aktivnosti kojima će se osigurati dijeljenje znanja i dobrih praksi, izrada edukativnih materijala te izgradnja mreža za podršku i suradnju.
