Kulliyyây-i-Sa’dî. This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1125 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. (Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 775 here with notations and hyperlinks]. 1125 The same. Contents: 1.The collector’s preface, on fol. 1b. 2.Five risâlas, i.e. risâlas 2-6 of the usual copies (the first, در تقرير ديباچه, is wanting here, just as in the preceding copy); the first (second risâlah), in five مجلس , on ff. 5a, 7a, 10a, 11b, and 14a; the second (third risâlah), on fol. 18b; the third (fourth risâlah), on fol. 19b (here entitled: از سؤال مولانا شمس الدين, and beginning: سؤال مولانا شمس الدين نطنزى از شيخ سعدى منظومه سالك راه خدا الخ; the fourth (fifth risâlah), on fol. 21a; the fifth (sixth risâlah), containing the three stories , on fol. 27b. Ṣâḥibiyyah, on fol. 367b, with the usual prose-preface; the first poem begins here: يا رب تو هر چه بهتر و نيكوترش بده الخ (see the same initial bait in No. 692 of the Bodleian Cat., col. 539). 15.Muḳaṭṭa’ât, on fol. 378b, beginning: گويند سعديا الخ . 16.Khabithât (or Muṭâyabât), on fol. 386a, beginning with the usual prose-lines; the initial bait of first poem corresponds to that in Nos. 1118 and 1122 in this Cat. On the margin of ff. 386b-389b there are added the Hazliyyât styled: المجالس الثلثة فى الهزل. 17.Rubâ’iyyât, on fol. 395b. 18.Mufradât, on fol. 406a. The Muḍḥiḳât are wanting in this copy. One leaf at the end seems to be missing. No date. The right order of ff. 400-410 is: 400, 409, 402, 403, 407, 404- 406, 401, 408, and 410. No. 775, ff. 410, 2 coll., each ll. 21 (on ff. 89b-153b, 3 coll.); Naskhî, many pages injured; an illuminated heading at the beginning of nearly every part; size, 93/4 in. by 55/8 in.
