This is the source code for the web application ‘NoBaSURV-PWN’ that is available at https://nobasurv-pwn.2.rahtiapp.fi. NoBaSURV-PWN is a tool for assessing the confidence in pest freedom gained in official pine wood nematode (PWN, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus) surveys. It can be used to assess 1) the confidence of each annual survey separately, and 2) the confidence accumulated in all annual surveys. NoBaSURV-PWN has been built based on quite a similar app, namely FinnSURV-Assess PWN. To run the source code locally in your computer you need to: Install R from https://www.r-project.org/ Save the files in NoBaSURV-PWN.zip in your working directory. Install R packages ‘shiny’, ‘shinythemes’, ‘shinyhelper’, ‘magrittr’ and ‘ggplot2’. Run the command runApp() in R. NoBaSURV-PWN was developed in the Risk Assessment Unit of the Finnish Food Authority as part of a project 'Assessing the confidence in pest freedom gained in the past pine wood nematode surveys'. The project was a co-operation between the Finnish Food Authority, the Estonian Agriculture and Food Board (EAFB), the State Plant Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania (SPSMoA), the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM), and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and it was co-funded by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Partnering grant (GP/EFSA/ENCO/2020/03). However, NoBaSURV-PWN reflects only the author’s view, and EFSA is not responsible for any use that may be made of the information it contains.
