Abstract

Mathnawî-i-Ma’nawî. This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1084 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. (Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 1984 here with notations and hyperlinks]. 1084 Another copy of the third daftar of the mathnawî. Preface, on fol. 1b, beginning: الحكم جنود الله الخ. Beginning of the poetry, on fol. 2b: اى ضياء الحق حسام الدين بيار الخ. Copied A.H. 1130 (A.D. 1718). Various readings and glosses on the margin. No. 1984, ff. 166, 2 coll., each ll. 17; Nasta’lîḳ; illuminated frontispiece; size, 77/8 in. by 41/2 in.
