The lyrical poems of Athir-aldîn ‘Abdallâh of Aumân (near Hamadân), who flourished under Hûlâgûkhân, and was a younger contemporary of Kamâl-aldîn Isma’îl of Iṣfahân, with whom he contended in poetry and exchanged poetical epistles; comp. Haft Iḳlim, No. 1035, col. 454 above in this Cat.; Âtashkada, No. 596 (Bodleian Cat., col. 283); Butkhâna, No. 25 (ib., col. 199); Makhzan-algharâ’ib, No. 14 (ib., col. 317); A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 17, No. 51. According to the Âtashkada he died A.H. 656 (A.D. 1258), according to Taḳî Kâshî A.H. 665 (A.D. 1266, 1267). This dîwân consists chiefly of ḳaṣîdas and ḳiṭ’as, intermixed with some tarkîbbands, ghazals, and rubâ’is. Beginning: دوش آنزمانكه ماه بر افروخت مشعله در فوج مركب افق افتاد مشغله Dated the 24th of Shawwâl, A.H. 1069 (A.D. 1659, July 15), by ‘Abd-alraḳîb.
