Estilos de apego y celos en parejas de adultos jóvenes

Abstract

Resumen Para determinar la relación entre estilos de apego y celos en parejas de adultos jóvenes, se realizó una investigación de tipo y nivel descriptivo correlacional, con modelo estudio de campo y diseño no experimental transeccional, con una muestra accidental de 100 personas. Se aplicaron el cuestionario de apego adulto de Brennan et al., (1998) y el Inventario Multidimensional de Celos de Díaz-Loving et al., (1989). Predominó el estilo de apego preocupado; los celos y sus dimensiones fueron medios. Se encontraron relaciones estadísticamente significativas débiles positivas entre el apego evitativo y temeroso con el egoísmo y celos. La desconfianza se relacionó negativamente con el apego evitativo, pero positiva y fuerte con el apego temeroso. Así, no se confirmó que “el apego seguro se relaciona con un menor nivel de celos en parejas”; aunque moderadamente se comprobó que “los apegos evitativo, preocupado y temeroso se relacionan con mayor nivel de celos”.
