Water beetles (Coleoptera: Adephaga, Hydrophiloidea, Byrrhoidea) of Radom and its vicinities, including the Kozienicka Forest. Based on original studies conducted by authors during years 1991-2022, 150 water beetle species (42,61% of polish water beetles fauna) from 12 Coleoptera families (plus 20 terrestial Hydrophilidae species) have been recorded from Radom and its vicinities, including the Kozienicka Forest. 12 species are recorded for the first time from the Mazowiecka Lowland and 29 are new for the Małopolska Upland. In running waters rheophile water beetles species have been recorded, like: Agabus didymus (Olivier), Platambus maculatus (Linnaeus), Rhantus incognitus R. Scholz, Elmis maugetii Latreille, Oulimnius tuberculatus (Müller) and Limnius opacus P.W.J. Müller. In freshly created, anthropogenic water bodies, without any vegetation, pioneer water beetles species have been recored, like: Hygrotus nigrolineatus (Steven), Hygrotus polonicus polonicus (Aubé) and Nebrioporus canaliculatus (Lacordaire). Seven of the listed species, are noted on the Red List Of Threatened Animals in Poland (Pawłowski et al. 2002): one species is critically endangered (CR) – Spercheus emarginatus (Schaller), three species are endangered (EN) – Hygrotus nigrolineatus (Steven), Rhantus incognitus R. Scholz and Enochrus bicolor (Fabricius), two species are vulnerable (VU) – Haliplus fulvicollis Erichson and Hydrophilus aterrimus Eschscholtz, one species is least concern (LC) – Cercyon tristis (Illiger).
