This research paper examines the research and development of the village as a smart village. With the idea of the "smart village," the communities become self-sufficient in terms of their needs. The fundamental idea behind a smart village is to collect combined effort and strengths from many different groups and connect them with information technology to benefit rural areas. A "Smart Village" will simultaneously provide good education, better infrastructure, proper sanitation, health facilities, waste management, renewable energy, environment protection, clean drinking water, resource use efficiency, etc. Using smart technologies and services, we create smart villages by making smart decisions. The results of this paper indicate better rural development of smart villages in India.
