Adaptive physical culture (hereinafter AFC) is an area of general physical culture. The main task of the AFC is the maximum possible development of the viability of a person with persistent deviations in health, ensuring the optimal mode of functioning of his bodily and motor characteristics and spiritual forces released by nature and available (remaining in the process of vital activity), his harmonization for maximum self-realization as a socially and individually significant subject. Ideally organized motor activity of auxiliary school students contributes to the improvement of their physical condition, correction of motor disorders and, in general, socialization of the personality of a mentally retarded child.
