The aim of the article is the analysis of the peculiarities of modern political caricatures and anecdotes development as the phenomena of the political culture that shows the social political views in Ukraine of the XXI century and point to the main tendencies in relationships between ordinary Ukrainians and authority representatives Methodology of the research assumes the usage of the structural-functional and problem-logical methods, and also a method of historical analogies which allows systematic research the role of political humour and caricatures as the integral components of the modern Ukrainian political culture. Scientific novelty. For the first time in the article was revealed the important functional role of political caricature and anecdotes as an integral component of the Ukrainian political culture including, as a rule, the cultural aspect of the research. Conclusions. Humour is an integral component of the Ukrainian political culture that helps them to express dissatisfaction with the existing social-political situation in the country, criticize state institutions and ideologies, mobilize and maintain their own tone in the fight against external challenges (russian aggression, etc.). It was proved that by ridiculing politicians, Ukrainians point out to them the reasons for their dissatisfaction and demonstrate that only the values and ideals accepted in society have inviolable authority. Asking to culturally colored images turns political caricatures and anecdotes into a generally accessible phenomenon and testifies to the originality of the political culture of modern Ukraine.
